Former Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis warned of a growing challenge to institutions from society, stressing that if underestimated, it will develop into a major political crisis. The statement was made at an event for Anna Psarouda-Benaki at the Old Parliament.

Antonis Samaras also attended, accompanied by ND MP Miltos Chrysomalilis.

Kostas Karamanlis stated that the smooth functioning of institutions, the consolidation of the rule of law, and the independence of the Judiciary are fundamental prerequisites for political normalcy. He pointed out that questioning these institutions leads to a crisis of devaluation and delegitimization of the political system.

Nikitas Kaklamanis, Speaker of the Parliament, as well as other politicians, honored Anna Psarouda-Benaki at the event.
