The Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, Nikos Kaklamanis, stated that an extraordinary meeting of the Conference of Presidents is not necessary, following requests from the opposition regarding the OPEKEPE case and potential responsibilities of Makis Voridis and Lefteris Avgenakis.

Mr. Kaklamanis mentioned that, according to Article 67 of the Constitution, the Parliament can validly decide with the presence of at least 75 deputies. He also noted that the Parliament's Rules of Procedure provide for the possibility of postal voting, even in secret ballots.

The Speaker of Parliament emphasized that the Conference of Presidents cannot modify or annul decisions of the Plenary.
