Kostas Karamanlis and Evangelos Venizelos, two politicians from different backgrounds, converge on the assessment that the Greek political system and state institutions are facing a serious crisis.

Both politicians referred to polls showing public distrust of institutions, dissatisfaction with democracy and the rule of law, and a crisis of political participation.

Evangelos Venizelos stated that the country has become "ungovernable," while Kostas Karamanlis stressed the need for the smooth functioning of institutions and the substantial independence of the Judiciary.

Both politicians agreed on the need for dialogue with Turkey, supporting the government's policy on Greek-Turkish issues.

At the same time, the permanent structural weaknesses of the Greek economy were highlighted, such as the heavy dependence on tourism, declining production, high prices, and the exodus of young people abroad.

The two politicians link the unpleasant economic, political, and institutional environment to the demographic problem and the emigration of young people.
