Kikilias: 'The People Decide, Plans Without Them Are Empty Shirts'

The Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Vasilis Kikilias, stated that 'the people decide' and that plans without the people are 'empty shirts'. He also referred to the need to strengthen maritime education and the bill to be submitted in the fall.
Mr. Kikilias emphasized the importance of the port of Thessaloniki and the projects underway to upgrade it. He also referred to ferry tickets and efforts to contain prices, as well as the role of the Coast Guard in immigration.
Regarding Greek shipowners, he noted their significant contribution to the country's economy.
