Athens College: Mitsotakis' Message for Modernization

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in a speech marking the 100th anniversary of Athens College, outlined four priorities for the school's future: modernization, broadening the social base, strengthening scholarships, and emphasizing mental health.
Mr. Mitsotakis stressed the need to integrate Artificial Intelligence into education and ensure the meritocratic allocation of scholarships to guarantee access for students from weaker economic backgrounds. He also referred to the importance of inclusion and addressing mental health challenges.
He also mentioned the history of the College, which was founded in 1925 and has produced many prominent figures in politics, business, and the arts. He noted that the College has faced challenges in the past, such as the economic crisis of the 1980s.
