Manolakou: The 'Thessaloniki Fair Basket' is a Mockery

Diamanto Manolakou, a member of the Central Committee and MP of the KKE, denounced the government for the 'basket' promised at the Thessaloniki International Fair (DETH), calling it a mockery. She also referred to the 'anti-labor monstrosity' regarding the 13-hour workday.

Speaking on ERTNews, Ms. Manolakou emphasized that tax reductions do not concern popular incomes but rather big capital, while stressing the need for the payment of 13th and 14th salaries and pensions.

Referring to the labor bill, she warned about the effects of the war economy and called for struggle, with the first stops being the strike on August 28 and the rally at the Thessaloniki International Fair on September 6.

Regarding the electoral law, she stated that the KKE is in favor of simple proportional representation.
