New Announcements from Maximos Mansion Regarding EYDAP, EYATH, and Water

Significant interventions to address water scarcity were announced by Maximos Mansion, with Kyriakos Mitsotakis chairing a meeting on the national water plan.
Greece ranks 19th globally in terms of water scarcity risk, while reserves in Attica have decreased by over 50% compared to 2022.
The main parameters of the plan were presented by Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis and Minister of Environment and Energy Stavros Papastavrou.
The first intervention concerns the 'centralization' of water management, with EYDAP and EYATH in the foreground. A 'DEH model' will be applied to the two companies with deep reforms, without privatization.
New technologies and desalination units will be utilized, especially on the islands.
