Government Support Measures Due to the War in Ukraine

The government has announced a new package of measures worth 300 million euros to address the economic impact of the war in Ukraine. The measures include the fuel pass, diesel subsidy, and support for households, farmers, and transportation.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized that the government maintains reserves for the future, as developments are unpredictable. The package of measures aims to support the vulnerable, the middle class, and productive sectors.

According to Kyriakos Pierrakakis, the combination of the fuel pass and pump subsidy will offer greater benefits to consumers compared to reducing the Special Consumption Tax (SCT), as implemented in Spain.
