Mitsotakis: Special Control Team for OPEKEPE with Financial Police, AADE

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced the establishment of a special control team for OPEKEPE, with the participation of the Financial Police and AADE. The team will investigate cases of illegal payment of subsidies.

The announcement was made during the Cabinet meeting, in the wake of the resignations of four government officials due to the OPEKEPE case. Mr. Mitsotakis stressed the need to sanitize the agricultural subsidy system and return the lost funds.

He also referred to the conclusions of the European Council, which he described as positive for Greece, both on issues of sovereign rights and on immigration.
