Mitsotakis: My relations with Trump aren't like Kammenos's

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis humorously commented on the revelations about Panos Kammenos's telephone conversations with a mafia figure from Crete.

In these conversations, the then-president of ANEL allegedly stated that he could intervene for the election of Archimandrite Melchizedek to the position of Metropolitan of Kydonia and Apokoronos, through the American factor.

Answering a question about Greece-USA relations under the Trump presidency, Mr. Mitsotakis said: "I don't have as good relations as Mr. Kammenos to settle everything with a phone call, but we are on a very good path, don't worry!"
