Mitsotakis in Parliament: Defending national interests and promoting peace

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis briefed the Parliament on foreign policy issues, with emphasis on Gaza and Greek-Turkish relations. The discussion, held at the level of political leaders at his request, is expected to cover other current affairs issues.
Mr. Mitsotakis stressed that in the last six years, Greece has staunchly defended its national interests and promoted peace and stability. He referred to challenges such as Russian influence, conflicts in the Middle East and Africa, the climate crisis and the effects of artificial intelligence.
The Prime Minister also noted the strengthening of the country's deterrent capability, with the acquisition of Rafale, the expected arrival of the F-35 in 2028 and the strengthening of the Navy with new Belharra frigates.
