Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced via TikTok a new preventive screening program for kidney dysfunction, concerning 1.5 million citizens. He stated that the program is part of the national prevention program "Proλαμβάνω" (I Prevent), through which 5.1 million citizens have already undergone preventive screenings.

Mitsotakis emphasized that the examinations are provided free of charge to insured and uninsured citizens. Through the platform proliptikes.gov.gr, interested parties can select the examinations they want and be informed about the next steps.

According to the data presented by the Prime Minister, within the framework of "Proλαμβάνω," 950,000 mammograms, 700,000 gynecological examinations, over 900,000 colon cancer screenings, and 2.5 million heart examinations have been carried out. Additionally, 4,000 citizens have received free medical care for obesity treatment.

"Prevention saves lives and every life counts," Mitsotakis emphasized.
