Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in an interview with Action24, addressed the farmers' protests, emphasizing the need for sincere dialogue. He claimed that some farmers want to talk but are being pressured.

Mitsotakis reiterated that a solution cannot come from actions that inconvenience society but only through discussion. He spoke of 400,000 professional farmers, while estimating that there are 4,000 tractors at the roadblocks, stressing that the majority of farmers are not participating in the blockades.

He also referred to the need for a medium-term approach to the primary sector, so that farmers can invest and improve their productivity. He pledged that all payments from OPEKEPE will be made by the end of the year and referred to the transition of the organization to AADE.

Regarding defense policy, the Prime Minister stressed that strengthening deterrent power is an investment in peace.
