New Democracy (ND) and Kyriakos Mitsotakis appear to be shifting their pre-election strategy, focusing on a 'Right or Left' dilemma. This marks a change from the previous 'stability or chaos' dilemma.

In a speech in Parliament, Kyriakos Mitsotakis responded to criticism regarding energy policy, stating: 'Why don't you move to the KKE, please? You have completely identified with the Left.' This statement suggests an attempt to create a dividing line between ND and the Left.

The ND leadership seems to feel pressured, with statements by Nikos Dendias opening a discussion about the breadth of the party. Evripidis Stylianidis noted that ND consists of conservative and liberal elements, which must be united for better results.

Despite ND leading in the polls, qualitative data show high abstention and social discontent. The ND leadership understands the need for reunification, amidst scandals and reluctance for a more social policy.
