Candidates for the Leadership of the Areios Pagos and the Timeline

The hearing process for candidates for the position of President of the Areios Pagos, to replace Mrs. Ioanna Klapa, will take place in three sessions by the Conference of Presidents of the Parliament.

The first session will take place on Wednesday, June 25 at 16:00, with the Vice-Presidents of the Areios Pagos: Agapi Tzouliadaki, Alexandra Apostolaki and Anastasia Papadopoulou, as well as the Areopagites: Spyridon-Stefanos Pantazopoulos, Athanasios Theofanis, Paraskevi Tsoumari, Panagiotis Venizelos, Panagiota Passisi, Konstantina Nakou, Spyridon Koutsochristos, Eleni Chronaiou, Stavroula Kousoulou and Socrates Plastiras.

On Thursday, at 12:00, the second session will take place, where the Areopagites will be heard: Agathi Dere, Kleovoulos-Dimitrios Kokkoros, Georgios Schinochoritis, Eftychios Nikopoulos, Georgios Papageorgiou, Kornilia Panoutsou, Stavros Malainos, Chrysoula Platia, Varvara Papari, Panagiota Goudi-Nine, Fotios Mouzakis, Elpida Simitopoulou, Maria-Marion Derechani and Aikaterini Chondrorizou.

At 15:00 on the same day, the third session will be held with the Areopagites: Leonidas Chatzistavrou, Ifigeneia Matsouka, Panagiotis Lymperopoulos, Michail Apostolakis, Niki Katsiaouni, Fotini Milioni, Antigoni Tzelepi, Maria Giannakopoulou, Apostolos Fotopoulos, Maria Petsali, Erasmia Liouli, Zoi Karachaliou, Vaia Zarchani and Spyridoula Liati.

The position of President of the Areios Pagos is expected to become vacant on June 30, 2025.
