OPEKEPE: Revealing Dialogues About Document Tampering

New dialogues allegedly involving the former president of OPEKEPE, Kyriakos Babasidis, in attempts to tamper with documents have come to light, while the judiciary investigates the revelations about the Organization.
According to a report by Vasilis Lambropoulos, in a dialogue between Mr. Babasidis and his associate, the tampering of a document bearing his signature is discussed, so that his signature is not visible in relation to a justified appeal. The conversation suggests an attempt to attribute responsibility to another executive, Ms. Tychepoulou.
Excerpt from the dialogue:
- Babasidis's Associate: We write that the Director (Tychepoulou) had no authority to do this job.
- Babasidis: But G. (note: the one justified in the appeal, also with K. Babasidis's signature) is an issue.
- Associate: Never mind, don't worry about it. Because it has your signature?
- Babasidis: Yes, yes!
- Associate: Well, we'll put in the draft, we won't put in the original.
- Babasidis: How can I do it?
- Associate: We'll fix it, Kyriakos, we'll fix it. We'll have the exact copy inside. Don't worry. Your signature isn't visible anywhere!
The case is under investigation, as questions have arisen regarding the procedures and approvals at OPEKEPE.
