Cold snap: Snow and rain across Greece - "Sleet in Attica"

Greece is facing a strong cold snap, bringing cold, rain and snow to many parts of the country. According to Kostas Lagouvardos, Director of Research at the National Observatory of Athens, the temperature will drop significantly, especially on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

In Attica, cloudy weather is expected with a chance of sleet or light snow, but no severe phenomena are expected. It is already snowing lightly in Parnitha, while sleet may also be seen in the northern suburbs.

The weather is expected to gradually improve from Friday, with rising temperatures over the weekend.
