S. Sotiropoulou: Deputy President of EODASAAM for the Railway Sector

Sofia Sotiropoulou is appointed as Deputy President of EODASAAM, responsible for the railway sector. The decision was made by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Dimas and Deputy Minister Konstantinos Kyranakis.

Ms. Sotiropoulou succeeds Christos Papadimitriou, whose resignation followed reactions regarding the findings on the Tempi tragedy.

The new Deputy President has many years of judicial experience, having served as a First Instance Judge in the Commercial Department of the Athens Court of First Instance and as President of the Court of Appeal in the 14th Obligations Department of the Athens Court of Appeal. She has dealt with cases concerning transport law, including claims for compensation for loss or damage to goods and injuries/deaths in railway accidents.
