Tassoulas: Light and Truth as a Guide to Rebirth in Piraeus

The President of the Hellenic Republic, Konstantinos Tassoulas, referred to the significance of Epiphany and the message of light and truth during the blessing of waters ceremony in Piraeus.
Mr. Tassoulas emphasized that light and truth must be drawn 'from their source' in order to lead to personal and collective rebirth, allowing society to move forward with confidence.
He pointed out that values such as self-sacrifice, altruism, cohesion, unity, humanism, and mutual understanding acquire special significance through this light and truth, stressing that these values should be a guide for a hopeful future.
Referring to the Holy Twelve Days, he noted that the baptism of Christ is celebrated with the 'all-illuminating Lights,' and the citizens in Piraeus participate in an important celebration to receive light and truth.
