Amendment for sibling transfers in Military Academies

The Ministry of National Defence announced an amendment regarding the transfer of siblings studying in Higher Military Education Institutions (ASEI), the Military Academy of Combat Support Officers (SSAS), and Higher Military Schools for Non-Commissioned Officers (ASSY).

The amendment, numbered 391/33 (30/7/2025) to Article 76 of Law 4692/2020, was submitted to Parliament by the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports, Sofia Zaharaki, following a proposal by the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias.

The regulation allows students of AEI or AEA with siblings studying in AEI, AEA, ASEI, SSAS, or ASSY to apply for a transfer during their first year of studies, exceeding the prescribed percentage.

Furthermore, it allows two or more siblings from families with three or more children studying in the aforementioned schools to apply for a transfer in all years of their studies.
