Tselentis vs. Papadopoulos: Clash over Kyllini Earthquakes

Seismologist Akis Tselentis strongly reacted to Gerasimos Papadopoulos' post regarding seismic activity in Kyllini.

Akis Tselentis expressed his displeasure with Gerasimos Papadopoulos' statement that "the earthquake god owes us 6R in the area!", emphasizing that seismologists cannot accurately predict earthquakes.

In his Facebook post, Akis Tselentis stated that managing seismic information requires seriousness and emphasis on the psychology of residents in order to avoid panic.

Gerasimos Papadopoulos had mentioned that since January 6, 2026, the Kyllini area has been recording a cluster of earthquakes, the largest reaching 3.5 Richter, adding that the area has a history of foreshocks.
