Alexis Tsipras has responded to government criticism, reiterating claims of economic inequality and corruption. The government did not directly address the data presented by the former Prime Minister.

Tsipras, in a social media post, reiterated points from an interview with Le Monde, stating that current growth benefits only a minority, 45% of the population faces financial difficulties, and 35% are in debt.

He further claimed that his government reduced inequalities, while the Mitsotakis government has increased them. He also spoke of widespread corruption, referring to the scandal of European agricultural subsidies.

The government initially did not comment on the interview, but later responded in a way that Tsipras considered an advertisement for himself, as it did not refute the data he presented.

Tsipras accused the government of being unable to answer for the capture of community funds through OPEKEPE and for the high cost of living.
