Tychikos to Consult Cardiologists – Hints at Synod's Stance

The deposed Metropolitan Tychikos has been discharged from an Athens hospital and will consult with cardiologists regarding potential surgery. According to his supporters, priest Evangelos Papanikolaou stated that Tychikos feels better after the examinations.
Papanikolaou hinted at the Holy Synod's stance regarding the omissions identified by the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the decision to depose Tychikos. Tychikos thanked God, his supporters, and the medical staff.
Meanwhile, the Archbishopric is expected to decide when the elections will be held to fill the throne of Paphos. Tychikos may be given a reasonable period to sign the declaration of faith, as indicated by the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
If he signs the declaration, he will be given the title of Bishop and a seat on the Holy Synod, as promised by the Archbishop.
