Haritsis: No to the Use of Souda for Operations Outside NATO

The president of New Left, Alexis Haritsis, called on Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis not to allow the use of Souda and American bases for operations outside the NATO framework. He also requested immediate briefing of the Parliament on the developments.
In a post, Mr. Haritsis stressed the need to avoid any involvement of the country in the war, emphasizing that "Greece cannot be a springboard for attacks." He also mentioned that he contacted the general secretary of AKEL, Stefanos Stefanou, regarding the situation in Cyprus.
Alexis Haritsis stated that the government chooses to support a destructive war outside international law, instead of working for de-escalation and peace.
