Hatzidakis: Criticism of the opposition regarding the economy

The Deputy Prime Minister, Kostis Hatzidakis, responded to criticism from the opposition regarding economic policy. Through a post, he stated that the opposition is spreading fake news.
Hatzidakis referred to four myths circulated by the opposition:
- Over-taxation: He argued that taxes have not increased, but 72 taxes and insurance contributions have been reduced.
- "Crumbs" to citizens: He said that the government is following a prudent economic policy.
- 13th salary: He mentioned that more than one salary has already been given to public servants and that the cost of the 13th salary is 1.4 billion euros.
- VAT reduction: He said that the VAT reduction did not yield results in other countries.
Hatzidakis stressed that unemployment has decreased and wages are increasing, while growth is returning to citizens.
