Zachariadis Criticizes Private Universities and Law Schools

SYRIZA-PS Press Spokesperson, Kostas Zachariadis, criticized the Mitsotakis government regarding the establishment of private universities and the creation of three new law schools.

Mr. Zachariadis recalled a 2019 statement by the Minister of Education, who had stated that the country does not need a fourth law school, and the abolition of the Law School of Patras by ND. He specifically mentioned that "in 2025, after tearing up the Constitution, they are turning second-tier colleges into universities and establishing not one but three law schools!".

Mr. Zachariadis argued that the establishment of new law schools in private universities is a matter of "tuition excellence" rather than a real need.
