Ranti Sisters: Emotional About Joint Mastectomy Decision

The Ranti sisters, Valentini and Agathi Ranti, spoke tearfully about their joint decision to undergo a double mastectomy. The twins, speaking on the show "To Proino," explained that they proceeded with this preventive surgery due to their shared DNA and the risk of developing cancer.
Agathi Ranti mentioned that a precancerous condition was found, and after a biopsy, they decided not to simply monitor the progression but to proceed with the mastectomy. Valentini Ranti added that she also had the same result in a biopsy, making the decision a one-way street.
The sisters went into surgery on the same day, a decision that was very important to them. Valentini went in first to make sure Agathi was okay. Agathi described the moment Valentini stroked the glass before entering the operating room as one of the most difficult moments of her life.
The sisters also spoke about the pain and difficulties after the surgery, as well as how they explained to their children what happened, without hiding the truth, but in a way that was understandable for their age.
Their mother was constantly by their side, giving them strength and support. The Ranti sisters emphasized that this experience was a life lesson for them, as they evaluated things, situations, and people.
