Twin journalists Agathi and Valentini Ranti spoke on the #ΤοΠρωινό show on #ΑΝΤ1 with Giorgos Liagas about their recent decision to undergo a preventive double mastectomy and reconstruction.

The Ranti sisters, known from their presence on Star as 'the Star twins,' revealed that the decision for the surgery, which took place on December 3 and lasted 5.5 hours each, was made after medical indications suggested possible future malignancy.

'It is aesthetic amputation, let's not hide it. You see your breasts,' they stated characteristically, describing the difficult first ten days after the surgery and the need to 'get to know their new selves again.'

The Ranti sisters emphasized that their main concern was prevention in order to stay healthy for their children and publicized their experience to encourage other women to prioritize prevention.

They also mentioned the support of their mother, who was present during the surgeries, describing her as their 'guardian angel'.
