Athina Oikonomakou spoke about the 'dark' phase she experienced after the birth of her first child and her collaboration with Filippos Michopoulos in co-parenting their children. The actress referred to Maria Solomou's online show on Youtube, about the difficulties she faced.

The actress explained that while her pregnancy was ideal, the transition after childbirth was difficult. She felt great loneliness as she moved to Mykonos where Filippos Michopoulos was opening his hotel. She stated that she felt guilty expressing her difficult feelings, but psychotherapy and support from friends helped her.

Regarding co-parenting, Athina Oikonomakou stressed that there is a program that she and Filippos Michopoulos follow faithfully, which may be difficult organizationally, but is important for the children. She stated that the children adapt easily and do not feel the absence of either parent.
