Dimitris Mothonaios described his past sober date experience in America: "I went sober dating with a teacher in America. You need to go on some dates where nothing happens, you can't even touch the other person. When I went out with someone and came back, I called the teacher and he told me that I should go out again after two weeks. All of this tries to deconstruct the situation to see if you really want to get close to this person. The mental composition must be built, without sexual acts."

Subsequently, Dimitris Mothonaios stated: "I couldn't follow the steps any longer, we would reach six months without sex. I was thinking about how to get out of all this, so I went back to an ex and it was disastrous. The way I used to be, I wouldn't go out with myself. I have mistreated people and I apologize for it."
