Entrepreneur Despoina Miraraki revealed a story from her travels to Tehran, where she fell in love with a Persian carpet merchant.

As a guest on Pantelis Toutountzis' show 'Make Up Stories,' Despoina Miraraki recounted: 'I had gone to Tehran and met a carpet merchant. I was wearing a chador and our eyes met. It was a very beautiful love affair.' She explained that due to the conditions in Persia, a woman could not easily meet a man, and this happened in the period between her first husband and her second.

In the same interview, Despoina Miraraki spoke about her husband, Giannis Kontoulis, who passed away from cancer in 2022. She mentioned that Giannis Kontoulis supported and admired her, emphasizing her uniqueness. 'Giannis gave me tremendous support, he loved me, he admired me, he pampered me. I experienced all this with him and I am very lucky,' she said.
