Actress Dimitra Papadima spoke about her self-destructive behavior in her youth. In an interview with the newspaper On Time, she described incidents where she put herself in danger.

"I was self-destructive. I would go to the balcony to jump off, believing that nothing would happen to me. Twice they stopped me, then they realized I could do it and they would leave me. I used to ride my bike doing wheelies all the way down the dirt road. I have fallen, I have been to the hospital, I have a scar. I was extreme," she said characteristically.

Dimitra Papadima emphasized that her love for gymnastics and sports saved her, and also referred to her difficult childhood in Agia Paraskevi.
