Dimitris Piatas: "Christos Valavanidis was my brother"

Actor Dimitris Piatas spoke about his close friendship with Christos Valavanidis, calling him his "brother." In statements on "Happy Day" on March 9, Piatas referred to their meeting in 1969 at drama school and the promise he could not keep to the late actor.

Christos Valavanidis passed away on Friday, March 6, at the age of 82, after health problems. The news of his death was announced by Eleni Gerasimidou and Antonis Xenos.

Dimitris Piatas stated: "We were and will remain friends forever. Christos was, if you like, not just my friend, but my brother. He had asked me to go to his aquarium, to see the fish, to cook and watch the fish like that and dream. I told him 'I give you my word that I will come' and I didn't keep my word."
