Helen Mirren: Next James Bond Must Be a Man

Renowned actress Helen Mirren has stated that the next James Bond should be a man, despite her previous criticisms of sexism in the films.

In an interview with Saga Magazine, Mirren emphasized that the role of James Bond must remain male. "You can't have a woman in that particular role. It won't work," she said, adding that James Bond must remain the same, otherwise it will become something completely different.

Mirren had previously described the James Bond films as "steeped in sexism." The selection of the next actor for the role remains open, following the departure of Daniel Craig.
