Eleni Menegaki spoke about Giorgos Papadakis, emphasizing that he was a "school" for her in her first steps on television. Speaking on ANT1's main news bulletin, the presenter expressed her sadness for the journalist's death.

"Giorgos was everyone's Giorgos. Those were my innocent years on television, for me he was the person I knew my day would start with. Giorgos was a huge school for me," said Eleni Menegaki.

In the same news bulletin, Mara Zacharea highlighted Giorgos Papadakis' success over time, attributing it to his "unerring popular instinct."

"Few can make a success that stands the test of time. I think what helped him a lot in this was an unerring popular instinct he had, to capture the pulse of the average Greek," Mara Zacharea noted.
