Eurydice Papadopoulou: Confession about childhood and depression

Eurydice Papadopoulou, in an interview on the vidcast series LEGIT, spoke about the difficulties of her childhood and her battle with depression.
She referred to her special relationship with her mother and her absence, which forced her to become the "woman of the house" from a young age. "My mother had not learned to receive love and showed her love in her own way… She was forced to leave home and get a job after 40 for the first time," she confessed.
Eurydice Papadopoulou also spoke about the period when she learned she had cancer: "For two years I didn't know I had cancer… I smoked three, four packs of cigarettes a day… I faint, and I also have a tumor in my neck…"
Finally, she referred to the dark thoughts she had after the diagnosis: "My darkest thought was to die. I didn't want to die, I knew if I died my dad couldn't go on."
