Phoebus: "I didn't collaborate with Vissi to avoid betraying Vandi"

Composer Phoebus revealed that he did not collaborate with Anna Vissi out of respect for his long-term collaboration with Despina Vandi.

In an interview on the vidcast "Daily Kous Kous", Phoebus expressed his admiration for Anna Vissi, but stressed that his collaboration with Despina Vandi for 17 years was crucial in his decision.

Referring to Nikos Karvelas, he denied rumors of rivalry and recalled his participation in orchestrating his songs when Anna Vissi was preparing to try her luck abroad.

"Anna Vissi for me is the best in her kind. There is no such artist," Phoebus stated, explaining that his priority was Despina Vandi.
