The well-known composer and lyricist Phoebus, in an interview on the show "Kalytera Den Ginetai" with Natalia Germanou, referred to past accusations of Satanism.

Specifically, he spoke about the song "Prophecies" that he had created with Despina Vandi, revealing that a magazine had been published with a front page that characterized them as Satanists. The reason was the use of a church melody in the song, which, according to the magazine, if played backwards, constituted a hymn to Satan.

Phoebus and Despina Vandi proceeded with a lawsuit against the magazine, which, as Phoebus mentioned, eventually closed down.

Phoebus stated characteristically: "They had written these nonsense things they write, that if you put it to play backwards it is a hymn to Satan. We sued them, we said 'enough with the stupidity' and the most comical of all was that what I had put in the song was a hymn to God, it was not what they were saying".

Phoebus also referred to other rumors that have circulated from time to time about him, such as that he has 15 people in his basement who write his songs or that he has discovered a special program on the computer that produces songs for him.
