Fotis Spyros: "I discovered I was gay from a young age, my dad was an alcoholic"

Actor Fotis Spyros gave a confessional interview to the newspaper OnTime, where he spoke about the difficult times he experienced with his father and his battle with alcoholism.
Fotis Spyros revealed that he discovered he was gay from a young age, which was difficult at the time. At 18, he left home. "My dad was an alcoholic, as was I, and I went into rehab at 40," he said.
The actor referred to the abusive behavior he experienced from his father, emphasizing that he does not blame him, as it was not easy to deal with the fact that his son was gay. "I was forced to leave at 18 years old. I went to the Karolos Koun Art Theater. I discovered that I can't do anything else in my life but theater," he added.
Fotis Spyros became known through his role in the series "Two Strangers".
