Director Yannis Smaragdis has responded to negative reviews of his film 'Kapodistrias,' which is experiencing strong commercial success. In just four days of screening, the film has sold over 130,000 tickets.

'These people are missing the opportunity to experience the joy that those who come to receive joy and love are getting,' said Mr. Smaragdis, speaking on SKAI. Asked what he would do if he met the critics, he replied: 'I would greet them as if they had done something good in their lives... Maybe they will become better people.'

The director emphasized that the film is not affected by the reviews and that 'These people are losing out by not entering the process of communicating with the love of the film.'

Mr. Smaragdis expressed his enthusiasm for the film's reception by the public, noting that many viewers are tearful and watching the film as a family.
