Yannis Smaragdis: "I don't feel bitterness about the criticism of Kapodistrias, but pain..."

Yannis Smaragdis, speaking on the show "Kalimera" with Fai Mavragani, referred to the criticism received by his film "Kapodistrias".
"There is a group of people, who are not many. When something happens that is good for human souls, it would be good to put aside our negativity and become positive," the director initially stated.
Yannis Smaragdis claimed that there is a war surrounding the film, which started before the start of production. He also referred to his personal loss, the loss of his wife, saying that some "wrote him off" after that. "I don't feel bitterness but pain. When the film was trying to start, I lost Eleni. There, those who didn't want the film to be made, wrote me off."
Finally, he emphasized that the film wanted to be made, regardless of who made it.
