Popular singer Giorgos Mazonakis, following his admission to Dromokaiteio, made his first public statement through his lawyer on the STAR television station.

The artist thanked the public for their support and clarified that he does not have a psychiatric problem. "My temporary confinement here at Dromokaiteio happened without me being asked, in my absence. I do not suffer from any mental illness that requires psychiatric care and that could make me dangerous either to myself or to others. There was a terrible plot behind this ordeal," he stated.

He also expressed his gratitude to all those who support him, while his family, through the law firm "Vlassis and Associates", stressed that the singer's safety is a priority.

The family's statement said: "For us, Giorgos' family, his health, safety and life are valuable. Anything else does not concern us, does not touch us, we do not approach it. Certainly, it cannot be a field of conflict. When the danger to his life disappears, any third party can make statements, express positions and support whatever they think will make them familiar and loved."
