Giorgos Mazonakis will undergo surgery after a coincidental finding of cholelithiasis. The singer's doctor, Christos Zafeiriou, stated that his psychological condition is very good.

The singer was admitted to a private hospital on Tuesday, February 10, with symptoms of fever and abdominal pain. The surgery will take place on Saturday, February 14.

Speaking on the Live News show, Mr. Zafeiriou mentioned that Mazonakis wanted to return to the nightclub where he performs, but the medical staff did not allow it.

"He is very well. He was admitted to our hospital on Tuesday. The check-up showed that he has cholelithiasis. He was admitted with a diagnosis of influenza A, and on Saturday he will have surgery for this cholelithiasis, the gallstones. And the entire gallbladder is removed laparoscopically. It doesn't hurt, no, this is a coincidental finding. He wanted to go sing yesterday. We didn't let him, we explained that he shouldn't," the doctor said.
