Singer Giorgos Mazonakis has been granted therapeutic leave from Dromokaiteio psychiatric hospital, where he was admitted following a prosecutor's order for psychiatric evaluation, based on a request from his family.

His admission to the hospital sparked reactions and statements from both himself and his family through their lawyers. Giorgos Mazonakis remained in a ward under observation for more than three 24-hour periods.

According to reports, the family had requested his hospitalization, claiming that his life was at risk due to his mental state. Doctors granted therapeutic leave, which was renewed, allowing the patient to be monitored both inside and outside the hospital.

Giorgos Mazonakis made a post on social media, while through his lawyer he stated that he does not suffer from any mental illness requiring psychiatric care. He expressed gratitude for the support he received. His family, through their lawyers, emphasized that their priority is his safety and health.

After five days of hospitalization, Giorgos Mazonakis was discharged and thanked the journalists for their treatment.
