Kainourgiou characterized the comment as deeply misogynistic, emphasizing that women are giving and good creatures. She also referred to the existence of female friendship and refuted Christopoulou's view.

Kainourgiou added that Christopoulou's comment flattened Women's Day and that it is dangerous for women who work with women to make such statements.
