Kostas Doxas, in statements on the show "Kalytera de Ginetai" and to Spyros Rafael Keramidas, expressed his opposition to the court's decision, after his conviction for domestic violence in 2021, following a complaint by Maria Delithanasi.

The singer was sentenced to three years in prison, suspended, and he filed an appeal. He stated: "I don't respect this decision. There is no equality in the courts. Unfortunately, men are judged differently. I have unlimited respect for women... I feel blatantly wronged."

Kostas Doxas claimed that the court did not take into account the evidence presented by his side: "We were judged by a panel that didn't even look us in the eye, didn't see our evidence. We had irrefutable evidence, we had forensic experts, eyewitnesses and they didn't pay any attention to us."

Referring to his appearance on ANT1's "To Proino", he said he asked for help: "I went to a show to appeal for help... I am in a state of shock from what I have suffered, hearing a terrible sentence, for something that has not happened."
