Lydia Koniordou: 'I Suffered Traumatic Verbal Violence'

Actress Lydia Koniordou revealed that she suffered verbal violence in the past, describing it as 'traumatic' and 'dirty.' In an interview on the show 'Radiofoniki Filo…Sofia' on Flash 99.4, she spoke about the importance of the MeToo movement and women's experiences.

'I personally suffered not rape, but another kind of violence, verbal, very unpleasant, traumatic and dirty, which had stigmatized me. That is, it took me a long time to overcome it,' said Lydia Koniordou.

The actress also referred to the difficulties women face in public spaces and the need to raise their voices against violence. Regarding the MeToo movement, she stressed that it has reduced tolerance for such phenomena.

In closing, Lydia Koniordou connected her role in the play 'Helen - The Trial of a Prostitute' with women who have found the courage to speak about their experiences.
