Maria Karistianou: DownTown Photoshoot and Gratsia's Statements

Maria Gratsia, a close associate of Maria Karistianou, answered questions about Karistianou's photoshoot for DownTown Cyprus magazine and her statements regarding the formation of a political party.

Regarding the choice of religious images as a background in the photoshoot, Ms. Gratsia stated that the choice of background was not "targeted," as the magazine chose her office for the photoshoot.

Furthermore, Ms. Gratsia mentioned that Maria Karistianou's silence on the finances of the Tempi association is due to her desire not to expose the members of the Board of Directors who did not want the publication of the finances.

Regarding the Karistianou party being formed, Ms. Gratsia clarified that the working groups have started since November 2025 and that the delay in the announcement is due to the evolution of the movement's activity.

Maria Karistianou, speaking to Down Town Cyprus, stated that the citizens' movement "is organizing and I believe that it will manage to mature enough to claim the vote of the Greek people" and added that "from the position of responsibility as an active citizen I declare that yes we must proceed to something more drastic."

Finally, Ms. Karistianou mentioned that she will respect the opinion of the majority regarding the person who will lead the party.
