Maria Lazaridi, the eldest daughter of Babis Lazaridis, spoke for the first time on the show #To πρωινό about her relationship with her father, a businessman who was murdered in 2008.

She referred to her father's absence from her life and the difficulties she faced growing up. Specifically, she stated: 'My father left then and left my mother pregnant, alone. Only in photos and on television. We had spoken two or three times, maybe four times.' She also mentioned that when she was a child, she waited in vain for him to visit her.

Maria Lazaridi spoke about her father's family's attempt to exclude her from his estate, saying characteristically: 'It was also his sister, who came out and called me a “b@@@@”.' She also expressed her regret for losing the opportunity to meet her father and ask him why he abandoned them.

Finally, she referred to her half-brothers, Vasilis and Babis Lazaridis, saying that she tried to contact Vasilis, but received no response.
