Marinella: 'Honesty Gave Me a Lot'

Marinella, one of the most important voices in Greek song, shared moments from her life in her interviews. She referred to her father's return from the war in 1941, describing the intense emotional moment of recognizing him as a three-year-old child.

She also spoke about her great love for Stelios Kazantzidis, whom she considered a mentor and teacher. She remembered the years they were together, the nightclubs and the music scene of the time. Marinella stressed that Kazantzidis was never an obstacle to her career, but on the contrary, helped her a lot.

She referred to her childhood in Thessaloniki, describing her family as hospitable and her father as a man with ecological awareness. Marinella stated that her honesty was a characteristic that gave her a lot, despite the reactions it caused.

Finally, she spoke about her participation in Greek cinema and the success of the song 'Anixe, Petra' in the movie 'Gorgones kai Manges', as well as her collaboration with Kostas Hatzis.
